The ancient crypt of the Hospitaller Order in Acre is a historical site in Israel located on the northern coast of the Mediterranean Sea. It is one of the most important monuments in the history of the Hospitaller Order, also known as the Order of Saint John, which was founded in the 11th century in Cyprus.

The crypt was built during the time of the First Crusade, when the Hospitaller order was still just one of the Catholic monastic organizations in the Middle East. In 1190, when Acre was captured by the Crusaders, the Hospitaller order established its permanent residence here.

The crypt was used by the Order as a hospital and a place of shelter during the Battle of Acre, which lasted from 1189 to 1191. The Hospitaller Order provided aid to the wounded soldiers on both sides of the conflict, as well as to the city's population, regardless of their social class, nationality or religion.

The Crypt of the Hospitaller Order has many architectural features, but the most impressive are the medieval vaults of the building. Now the Crypt is used as a museum where visitors can learn more about the history of the Hospitaller Order and its role in the Battle of Acre.
